As of Monday, February 21, 2022, Costa Rica will request an entry visa from Venezuelan citizens, either for transit purposes or final destination Costa Rica.
Citizens of Venezuela must request a visa consulted before the Consulates of Costa Rica duly accredited abroad. The visa will be granted for a single visit to the national territory.
The exception to the consulted visa requirement corresponds to those Venezuelans who have a valid American visa category B1-B2, visa type D, C1/D multiple entry and Canadá (exclusively multiple visa) may dispense with a Visa to enter Costa Rica.
